Coverage Gap Management Tool – Cover Customers Until Jan. 1

Written on June 24th, 2021

Feature Overview

The IHC Producer Portal “get coverage until January 1″ feature enables agents to align their client’s short-term medical insurance (STM) policy termination date and Affordable Care Act (ACA) health plan effective date, avoiding potential gaps in coverage.

Agents can quickly generate an accurate short-term medical quote with prorated premiums by automatically setting the termination date to December 31 since, typically, federally-facilitated ACA marketplace plans purchased during the annual open enrollment period become effective January 1.

More Ways the Producer Portal Supports Agents

Agents don’t need to rekey client demographics to shop, quote, and compare ACA plans for STM clients when using INSXCloud. The IHC Producer Portal bridges directly to INSXCloud with a single sign-on, allowing you to quickly transition client information and quote an ACA plan there.
